How the numbers are worked outअंक कैसे निकलते हैं

    Name number: each letter gets its Chaldean value (A, I, J, Q, Y = 1 … F, P = 8; no letter is 9), the values are added and reduced to one digit.

    Moolank (psychic number): the day of birth reduced — born on the 23rd gives 2 + 3 = 5.

    Bhagyank (destiny number): every digit of the full date added and reduced — 15-08-1990 gives 1+5+0+8+1+9+9+0 = 33 → 6.

    Each number has a graha: 1 Sun, 2 Moon, 3 Jupiter, 4 Rahu, 5 Mercury, 6 Venus, 7 Ketu, 8 Saturn, 9 Mars.

    The name agrees with a number when their grahas are the same or natural friends in Parashara's table, and works against it when they are enemies.

How do I find my name number?

What is the difference between moolank and bhagyank?

Moolank comes from the day of birth alone and is read for nature and temperament. Bhagyank comes from the whole date and is read for the course of life.

Why Chaldean and not Pythagorean?

The Chaldean system, which follows the sounds of letters, is the one most Indian numerologists use for names. The Pythagorean system numbers the alphabet 1 to 9 in order and gives different results.

Should I write my name in Hindi?

No — numerology values are for English letters. Type the name as you spell it in English, for example on your documents.

Should I change my name for numerology?

Some people adjust a spelling so the name number agrees with their moolank. It is a personal choice; changing the spelling on documents has practical costs.
