What is my rashi?

Is the Moon sign different from the Sun sign?

Yes. The Sun sign is where the Sun was; the Moon sign is where the Moon was. Vedic astrology reads the rashifal from the Moon sign, Western horoscopes from the Sun sign.

Can I find my rashi without the birth time?

Usually, since the Moon stays about 2¼ days in a sign. If the page shows a change of sign on your birth day, you need the time; otherwise use the naam rashi from your name.

Why does my rashi differ on another website?

Either the birth time or place differs, or that site uses the Western (tropical) zodiac. This calculator is sidereal with the Lahiri ayanamsa, as Indian panchangs are.
