Ekadashi 2018एकादशी 2018

Ekadashi, the eleventh tithi of each paksha, is the fast of Vishnu: twice a month, about 24 times a year (26 in a year with an adhika month), each with its own name. The dates follow the Smarta rule of Drik Panchang: the fast is on the day with Ekadashi at sunrise, broken (paran) the next morning while Dwadashi still runs.

एकादशी हर पक्ष की ग्यारहवीं तिथि है — भगवान विष्णु का व्रत, महीने में दो बार, वर्ष में लगभग 24 (अधिक मास वाले वर्ष में 26)। तिथियाँ स्मार्त नियम से हैं: सूर्योदय पर एकादशी वाले दिन व्रत, और अगले दिन द्वादशी रहते पारण।
