Questions · प्रश्न
How many Pradosh Vrat dates are there in 2016?
25: the first is Guru Pradosh on Thursday, 7 January 2016, the last Som Pradosh on 26 December 2016.
2016 में कितनी प्रदोष व्रत हैं?
25 — पहली गुरु प्रदोष (7 जनवरी 2016), अंतिम सोम प्रदोष (26 दिसंबर 2016)।
Why can the Pradosh Vrat date differ between cities?
A Hindu day runs from one sunrise to the next, and the tithi at sunrise (or at moonrise, pradosh or the ingress, as the vrat needs) names the day. Sunrise differs by place, so a city far from Delhi can keep the vrat a day apart; the month calendar gives your city's dates.
